Communities In Schools of Eastern Pennsylvania proudly recognized three former board members and celebrated the longstanding partnership of PPL Corporation during its annual Champions For Education celebration, presented by Olympus on November 13, 2025 at DeSales University Center.
The evening highlighted the remarkable 23-year partnership between CIS of Eastern PA and
PPL Corporation, which has contributed more than $450,000 through the PPL Foundation to advance student success and community empowerment. PPL’s commitment has directly strengthened the programs CIS of Eastern PA delivers to thousands of students each year. Beyond financial support, PPL’s leadership has played an active role in shaping the organization’s direction, serving on the CIS of Eastern PA Board of Directors and key organizational committees.

CIS of Eastern PA also welcomed three distinguished leaders into its Leadership Circle, an honor reserved for individuals whose exceptional dedication has strengthened the organization’s mission and expanded its impact across the region. The 2025 inductees include Michael Bruckner, Susan Larkin, and Matt Sorrentino.​ We celebrate their vision, stewardship, and unwavering commitment to supporting students and empowering communities.

On October 25th, 2024 we gathered to honor the dedication and contributions of our remarkable volunteers that help to advance the mission of Communities In Schools in Eastern Pennsylvania. Being Present Matters when it comes to our students, and our volunteers were present in a big way in 2023!
