PPL Supports CIS of Eastern PA

Updated: Jul 13, 2022

PPL has been an important and loyal partner of CIS of Eastern PA for more than 20 years. The leadership and employees at PPL truly embrace our mission to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.

PPL has financially supported CIS through generous EITC donations, support for the Ready, Set, Graduate celebration, Integrated Student Supports, and much more. While this type of support is quickly approaching an incredible $400,000, PPL’s involvement is so much deeper than their pockets. CIS has been fortunate to have PPL's leadership on our board of directors and committees. Employees at all levels of the company actively participate in classroom reading, book drives and distribution, school supply and winter coat drives. "As an active board member of CIS of Eastern Pennsylvania, I see the hard work and passion that CIS site professionals bring to their work each day, said PPL Director of Operations Adam Morse. As a representative of PPL Electric Utilities, I believe it is important to invest in the future of students and our community." PPL has been particularly involved with 2 elementary schools in the Allentown School District. For decades, PPL’s support of Cleveland Elementary has made a difference in thousands of students’ lives through offering exclusive company tours, working with small student groups, chaperoning field trips, and providing tickets to sporting events for students who might not otherwise have that opportunity. Most recently, PPL has been a critical partner with us at Hays Elementary, having created a mentorship program, championing Earth Day and other school-wide celebrations, and supporting students and families with basic needs. PPL is a model of community partnership, taking a selfless approach to their involvement with the primary goal of providing students and families the support they need to overcome obstacles and become successful.

PPL is truly #AllInForKids!
