CIS Board Member Spotlight: Kim DelSordo

Since 2015, Kim DelSordo, Global Business Director at Arkema Inc., has been a valued member of the Communities In Schools of Eastern PA Board of Directors. Kim was introduced to CIS of Eastern PA through Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., joining the board as part of the two organizations' long-running partnership. For several years, Kim served as the board's Advancement Committee chair and planned the organization's annual fundraising events from 2015-2018.

Kim decided to get involved with CIS of Eastern PA after learning about the organization's mission, realizing that it meshed well with her interests in child development and education. She said she felt a strong connection with the CIS team and fellow board members, enthused with the group's passion for student success.

stern PA board member, Kim raved about the many achievements the organization has made over the past eight years. "I am most proud of our strategic development work culminating in the expansion of our agency from CIS Lehigh Valley to CIS of Eastern PA. That and the CIS team's initial pandemic response and how the needs of our community were prioritized, resonate with me in terms of impact," said Kim.

At the end of this year, Kim will wrap up her second term as a board member and said she is "honored to be a part of this essential organization." In her free time, you can find her outdoors, spending time with family, and traveling.
