Communities In Schools of Eastern Pennsylvania Receives Grant From PPL Foundation
Communities In Schools of Eastern Pennsylvania (CISEasternPA) is pleased to announce the procurement of a $5,000 grant from The PPL Foundation, which annually awards grants through a competitive application and review process. These funds will support integrated student supports in the schools CISEasternPA serves.
The integrated student supports model that Communities In Schools institutes in schools provides various resources to at-risk students. These funds will provide CISEasternPA site coordinators with the resources required to work with students in the school setting. CISEasternPA site coordinators help students with one-on-one case management, social-emotional learning opportunities, and provide basic needs like food and clothing to over 40 schools throughout the Lehigh Valley and Berks County.
“The continued support of PPL demonstrates their commitment to helping students get what they need to have a safe and secure learning environment,” said Tim Mulligan, president and CEO, CISEasternPA. “Their support allows our site professionals to help tear down the roadblocks to success for all of the students and families that we serve.”
"PPL Foundation is so happy to help support the mission of Communities In Schools of Eastern Pennsylvania,” said Ryan Hill, president, PPL Foundation. “Their work in schools throughout the Lehigh Valley and Berks County ensures that students are getting what they need to be successful in school."
